Graduated with Masters of Divinity degree from Candler School of Theology of Emory University in Atlanta, 1979.
Recipient of the Harry Denman Evangelism Award for Clergy in 1994, from the North Georgia Conference of the UMC.
Wrote a column on “Creative Outreach Ministry” in the Wesleyan Christian Advocate – the North & South Georgia Conferences’ newspaper for United Methodists (6+ years).
Named as a “Fellow” in the Society of John Wesley by the Conference Presidents of United Methodist Men, for keynote speaking and creative evangelism training with 35,000+ United Methodist Men across 38 states.
Received the “Clergy Servant Leader Award” from LaGrange College for outreach ministry through the Barnabas Ministry Group model for the revitalization of struggling small and medium-size churches.
Served on the Executive Committee for NAUME (The National Association of United Methodist Evangelists).
Private pilot since 1973 (Single & Multi-engine; Instrument Rated).
National Chaplain for Family Motor Coach Association (FMCA - with 60,000+ RV Families spanning the USA and Canada).
Married for 45 years to Jan. They have two sons and three grandchildren. They reside in Marietta, GA.
